Hi, I'm Amin! I build software at the intersection of high-performance computing (HPC), physical simulation, and machine learning.
Currently, I am a PhD Candidate at the University of Washington and an MS in CS student at Georgia Tech. I focus on optimizing Python/C++ applications to scale across thousands of cores (MPI, CUDA, OpenMP), designing fast numerical solvers, and training applied ML models.
A high-performance Python/C++ framework for automated model generation, geometry processing, and METIS-based domain decomposition. Designed to execute large-scale simulation workloads on distributed HPC clusters (TACC), reducing data preparation time from weeks to minutes.
I am always open to discuss opportunities, research, or potential collaborations in high-performance systems engineering, applied machine learning, and large-scale physical simulations. Please feel free to reach out at amin.pakzad.work@gmail.com or amnp95@uw.edu.
